What is stamped jewelry?
A stamped jewelry ring, pendant, chain, bracelet or necklace has a marking called a makers mark and karat value stamping. This makers mark and karat value are stamped as S925, 10k,14k,18k, 24k and PT950 for platinum. On jewelry made with this material, it is required by law to have a makers mark and karat value on any jewelry made with these solid metals.
Where to find the stamped engraving?
These markings are usually engraved somewhere on the ring found in the inner side of the band or if you wear a chain or necklace you should find it located on the clasp.
What jewelry to stay away from?
Stay away from jewelry that has the marking GP or GF. This marking stands for gold plating or filled which is not good quality jewelry. We do not supply GP or GF made jewelry. Solid materials and crafting custom jewelry is the key to creating a great custom jewelry piece starting with setting the diamonds in a solid gold, silver or platinum material.
